Our Boats
The New Rio Rita
Finally, we’ve found a boat that combines comfort and the speed we need to get to the best dive sites. The new 42’ Rio Rita is the newest dive boat in La Paz, launched in August, 2007. Able to make up to three dives a day carrying up to 12 divers, her amenities include a great dive platform, a head, shade, and a shower. Breakfast and lunch are prepared fresh in the galley by our onboard cooks, who also serve up tasty drinks and appetizers during our famous Rio Rita-style happy hour.

The Don Jose
Our 80’ motor vessel, Don Jose, was designed and built in 1978 especially for Baja Expeditions. High above the water, the second and third decks offer excellent vantage
points for viewing whales, dolphins, flying mobulas and whale sharks below. The Don Jose comfortably accommodates up to 16 passengers in seven above-deck, air-conditioned cabins, each with a changing area, storage closet, adjacent shower and head, plus a sink in most. With a convenient swim step, storage lockers, DVD and VHS video system and a natural history library for your perusal, this vessel will make your adventure a true pleasure.

The Pez Sapo
The 48’ Pez Sapo is used for our Coastal and Islands Sea Kayaking trips as a shuttle vessel. It’s equipped with a 110V generator, shaded deck and convenient swim step. A sun deck provides an ideal spot for marine life viewing, while other amenities include a fresh water rinse and restroom. The added safety and comfort of the Paz Sapo make our kayak trips 100% unique in Baja.
