Day 1: We met at the hotel and went to the office to gather snorkeling gear, then went to the Pez Sapo for breakfast. After our 3.5 hour ride to Espiritu Santo, we had an intro to camp and lunch. After lunch, we had an intro to kayaking, wet exits, happy hour, dinner and sleepy time!
Day 2:
After breakfast, we left for El Cardoncito where we went snorkeling. We had lunch on board the Pez Sapo, then kayaked back to El Candelero where happy hour and dinner were served. We had a night kayak in the moonlight. This was a highlight of the trip.
Day 3:
After coffee we went for a hike on the back side of Candelero. We had breakfast and packed up camp. We got onto the Pez Sapo and departed for Los Islotes, where we snorkeled with the sea lions—another highlight for the guests. We spotted two fin whales. We had lunch on the way to El Pardito, where we stopped and snorkeled as well. A couple of guests visited El Pardito while the others were snorkeling. After snorkeling we went to Los Angelitos in San Jose Island. After unloading, we had happy hour and dinner.
Day 4:
After breakfast we went for a ride aboard the Pez Sapo to the north side of San Jose Island. We spotted a group of about 200 bottlenose dolphins. We went snorkeling and had lunch. After lunch we had digestion time and then went kayaking south to La Palma Sola. At this point, we had two doubles and three singles paddling back all the way back to Los Angelitos. In one of the arroyos just north of La Palma Sola we found a sperm whale skull. Anibal took two guests for a short hike where they found a rattle snake.
Day 5:
In the morning we started our motoring towards Punta Villa. We snorkeled there and eight people paddled from there to Puerto Gato. Upon arrival to Puerto Gato, the group that was aboard the Pez Sapo went kayaking and the kayakers went for a walk.
Day 6:
Today we went walking to the back of Puerto Gato. After breakfast we paddled to Tambabichi. We hiked to the ranch and learned about the local history. After we came out we went aboard the Pez Sapo and had lunch. We went snorkeling at La Morena. Most went back to shore and paddled back to Puerto Gato (some people went aboard the Pez Sapo). We had a delicious happy hour and dinner
Day 7:
We went for a hike to the cross. After breakfast we boarded our kayaks and paddled north until the Pez Sapo came along and told us there was wind coming, so we went aboard. Then we navigated to Playa Ballenita. On arrival to Ballenita we had lunch and set up camp, then we went snorkeling. We paddled to Santa Marta, then rode the Pez Sapo back from the ranch.
Day 8:
We had breakfast aboard the Pez Sapo and then went north to El Ligui. During the navigation we spotted two fin whales, one sea turtle, several mantas, and a couple hundred bottlenose dolphins where we had lunch. The vans picked us up and took us to Loreto, where we went to dinner and said our good-byes.
