March 19: We joined our guests in the lobby of the Hacienda Suites to begin our adventure with a drive to Puerto Escondido. We met the Pez Sapo crew and motored to La Ballenita. On the way we saw fin and blue whales and stopped for whale watching. We had lunch on the Pez Sapo at La Ballenita, and then set up our camp site.
This afternoon we had our sea kayaking introduction and everyone tried the wet exit. The last part of the day we enjoyed our happy hour and dinner.
March 20: After a hot breakfast, we broke down our camp site, and then paddled from La Ballenita to Puerto Gatos. In the distance, we saw several osprey and whales' blows. Today, we stopped for lunch at San Mateo, and then set up camp site. We spent the afternoon snorkeling, followed by happy hour and dinner.
March 21: After breakfast, we broke down our camp site, and then spent the morning paddling to Tembabichi. Once we arrived, we hiked to Tembabichi, where we know part of the De la Tova family. After, we paddled to Punta Villa, where we had lunch. Everyone enjoyed this place because of the tide pools. After setting up camp, we snorkeled before happy hour and dinner.
March 22: In the morning, our guests decided they wanted to stay one more night at Punta Villa. We went whale watching today, and we saw many fin and blue whales
between La Habana islet and San Jose Island. Today's lunch was onboard the Pez Sapo.
We spent the afternoon snorkeling at Punta Villa.
March 23: After breakfast, we broke down our camp site, and then motored in the Pez Sapo to Los Dolores. We paddled to Punta Alta from Los Dolores, and returned for lunch on the Pez Sapo. After lunch, we paddled to El Mangle at San José Island, where we set up our camp site for the night.
March 24: After breakfast and breaking down our camp site, we hiked to El Yeso. Later, we motored to Los Islotes, where we saw many mantas while snorkeling. We also took a ride to El Mezteño.
March 25: Today we paddled to the east side La Partida, where we saw a big school of sardines and then to El Cardoncito. Paddling back to El Candelero was a little windy.
March 26: Today we paddled to La Bellena Beach, then went hiking at El Candelero.
We motored to La Paz and had lunch on the Pez Sapo. We watched bottlenose dolphins as we returned to La Paz, which was a nice ending to our trip.
