When you sign up for a Conservation Expedition trip, Baja Expeditions will donate 100% of net profits from the trip to Friends of Wild Baja, a special fund to promote conservation of marine and coastal wildlands in Baja California Sur for the benefit of the region's inhabitants, visitors and future generations.
The Friends of Wild Baja was specifically established to give US donors the ability to make tax-deductible contributions through the International Community Foundation. As added incentive, all monies received in the Friends of Wild Baja fund are matched 2:1 through Fundo Mexicano, a Mexican conservation foundation that administers matching grants from US-based foundations.
In short, every dollar from Conservation Expeditions becomes $3 for conservation and a 3-day (2-night) trip generates $3,150 for conservation in the Gulf of California!

"...Let us go," we said, "into the Sea of Cortez, realizing that we become forever a part of it; that our rubber boots slogging through a flat of eel-grass, that the rocks we turn over in a tide pool, make us truly and permanently a factor in the ecology of the region. We shall take something away from it, but we shall leave something too." —John Steinbeck, "The Log from the Sea of Cortez"
