Espiritu Santo Sea Kayaking Camp
Our comfortable base camp on the island of Espiritu Santo offers an easy way to experience the essence of Baja.

This program takes place in the protected waters of Espiritu Santo Island, the perfect place to master the basics of kayaking and snorkeling. Because we use a base camp, the schedule can be as active or as relaxing as you choose. You’ll learn easy-to-master kayaking skills from our expert guides, and soon be paddling three to four hours per day along the shoreline—exploring caves, rock gardens, and deserted beaches.

Our support skiff is always conveniently nearby. Besides kayaking, we’ll hike in spectacular, ochre-colored canyons and swim with playful sea lions. You’ll also have a chance to snorkel among tropical fish and perhaps even score a chance sighting of a whale. Inland, the Island offers spectacular desert vegetation—such as giant cardon cactus and wild figs clinging to volcanic cliffs. Bird watchers will delight in the antics of pelicans and colorful frigate birds who fish the waters.

Our friendly crew and added creature comforts—such as cabin-style tents, cots, sleeping pads and solar-heated showers—make your days and nights in camp effortless. You’ll dine on tasty Mexican food and enjoy happy hour each evening as sunny days turn into luminous nights filled with stars.

"Everything about the trip was wonderful. The friendly and extremely helpful staff truly made the trip! I appreciated the staff's attentiveness to all our special requests as much as the scenery and wildlife."
 —Ryan Harvey, Portland, Oregon, 2007

"Gorgeous water, great natural beauty, delicious food, outstanding staff, and a mind-boggling array of activities-even the "loo with a view" brings back fond memories."
—Bill Sweeney, San Diego, 2007
