NEW!!! Bring the whole family to the Sea of Cortez to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime research project. With a spotter plane to help locate the whale sharks, you'll observe and assist visiting guide and researcher Dení Ramírez during each encounter. All you need are snorkel and fins, though scuba divers will find plenty of other fish in the Sea at greater depths. You’ll live aboard the Don Jose, big enough to be comfortable, but not so big you get lost in a crowd.
Scuba Diving, Special Interest Trips, Wildlife Cruises May - Jun
Designed for those who like a challenge--you'll paddle along 65 miles of untamed coast between Loreto and La Paz on this exciting trip--exploring remote coves and inlets and changing camps daily (with one overlap day).
Sea Kayaking Mar - Jan
Discover remote and uninhabited islands seen by few others on this moderate to challenging trip. Accompanied by our motorized support vessel, you'll explore the diverse natural history of Espiritu Santo, San Jose, and Catalana Islands.
Sea Kayaking Mar - Dec
Using our comfortable eco-camp on the island of Espiritu Santo as a base, each day will bring new adventures as you opt to kayak in a paddler's paradise, hike up ochre-colored canyons, or swim and snorkel with schools of tropical fish. You can customize your trip dates, length, itinerary and level of difficulty. Or, chooose from one of our 3-night scheduled departures.
Sea Kayaking Oct - Apr
Explore two of the most beautiful landscapes of Baja on this trip. Kayak unspoiled beaches and snorkel with playful sea lions near uninhabited Espiritu Santo Island. Then, help local conservationists monitor sea turtles in magical Magdalena Bay. Your participation benefits both turtles and people in this important service project, which provides an alternative income to fishing for local people.
Sea Kayaking, Special Interest Trips Nov
Experience the joy and exhilaration of open water swimming in the crystal clear and protected waters of Isla Espiritu Santo and Isla La Partida, accompanied by ASA certified coaches specializing in open water swimming.
Sea Kayaking, Special Interest Trips Oct - Nov
Bring your family to camp and play at Magdalena Bay, in the breathtaking beauty and wildlife of a great wetland ecosystem. Observe gray whales mating, giving birth, playing, and raising their young. Whale Watching Jan - Mar
NEW!!! Meet with two marine icons: gray whales and sea turtles, on the Pacific side of Baja. Later, help monitor sea turtles with local conservationists, with time to stroll, paddle, swim or snorkel by sand dunes, unspoiled beaches and mangrove estuaries.

NEW!! By land and by sea: first explore historical missions on foot, then watch whales for three full days in San Ignacio Lagoon. (Or vice versa.) You’ll ride a skiff into the middle of the famous gray whale nursery in this World Heritage site. Sleep by the beach in comfort in our new Cabañas Camp.
Whale Watching, Special Interest Trips Feb - Apr
Explore the islands and coast between La Paz and Loreto as you cruise aboard the Don Jose. On this voyage of discovery, you'll share some of the same experiences Steinbeck recorded in his book, "The Log from the Sea of Cortez." These rich waters feed the world’s largest animals, blue and finback whales, among many marine mammals, from dolphins to sea lions. Kayaking and snorkeling add to the amazing whale and bird watching that are hallmarks of this cruise.
Whale Watching, Wildlife Cruises Feb - May
Explore uninhabited islands and seas rich with whales and other marine life in the Gulf of California as you cruise all the way to Land's End at the tip of Baja. This newly-designed natural history expedition also provides an optional, one-day extension to see the gray whales in Magdalena Bay.
