A charter flight from San Diego takes you right to the Lagoon, where your comfortable base camp accommodations at water's edge provide the perfect place from which to observe the gray whales.

Read the article about whale watching at our camp in San Ignacio printed in the San Diego Zoo's publication, ZooNooz.

Trip Details:

San Ignacio Lagoon is the winter breeding grounds of the California Gray Whale and the perfect place for whale watchers to observe these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. With a short skiff ride into the lagoon, prepare to experience a whale surfacing just a few feet away. You will be amazed by the urge to reach out and touch this phenomenal animal.

You can also kayak through the mangrove estuaries to see a variety of species in this natural aviary. Or beach comb the peaceful shoreline and discover remnants of the sea.

Our chartered flight delivers you into this remote desert world. Accommodations at water's edge provide a comfortable wilderness experience with all the amenities of home. Our experienced staff is always ready to lend a hand and share their knowledge. Your 5 day trip includes 3 full days of exploration. Bring home a lifetime of memories and you too will come to respect and love Baja and the gray whales as much as we do.
