and Founder, Tim Means
Tim started his career leading groups through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River and founded Baja Expeditions in 1974.
To say he has a passion for the preservation and natural wonders of Baja is an understatement. In addition to running what has become the leading eco-adventure company in Baja, he is also actively involved with philanthropists, NGOs and various agencies in Mexico to preserve the natural environment of the Baja region.
With his company's own contributions and success in engaging other donors, he has been instrumental in preserving thousand of acres which are now designated as nature preserves, including the Isla Spiritu Santo Sanctuary. In 2005, he began an ambitious campaign to raise $250,000 over five years through the Friends of Wild Baja program.
